Artist's Comments

This is my first piece featuring a landscape made in Terragen.
I'm happy with the result, though I wish to reconsider my planet-creation technique; but I think
I got my starfield on nicely.
As always advanced Critique Encouraged (so I'll learn from my mistakes)

Makes a very nice picture, but it seems you have tripped up on the amount you can see. It's probably just a personal gripe, but so many terraspace artists get this wrong.
If you have that much light from the sun in the picture, you will not be able to see half of what you are showing in the night sky.
Rest assured that your piece is not as extreme as others, and the colours and the presentation make a very nice piece of fantasy terraspace art.

First off all: Thanks for your input.
Its my first terraspace deviation and I wasn't really focussed on reality.
But I'll sure keep your comment in mind :)

If we're alone in the universe, it's an awful waste of space.

NP. :)
I admit that all space art takes artistic license with what it presents, and I don't want to come over all negative which I think I probably did.
You did a lovely piece of work which exceeds my current skill level and I congratulate you for it :D

No, you dont have to feel bad really. You didn't came over negative at all.
I was rather glad you replied and gave some input.
Being part of the community (inner-space) gives me more access to people who -like me- enjoy and love space art and the creation of it. It also increases the chance getting feedback on deviations and learning from made mistakes.
I also think everyone has his own technique for making space, therefor I think there is no bad or worse. THere is only personal observation and 'interpretation'. I'm gonna stop philosophating here ^^
